Socket Shelf is designed to work with vertical outlets, but you can use the device without the shelf on horizontal outlets if you want the extra sockets!

What type of outlets does the Socket Shelf Work on?
The Socket Shelf works on traditional 3 prong outlets along with GFCI (reset buttons) outlets.
Do I need to use the included screw to secure the Socket Shelf onto my outlet?
No, the included screw is optional for those who want added strength.

Can I use Socket Shelf outside?
NO! Socket Shelf is not designed to work outside and can be damaged if wet.
Can an extension cord be plugged into the Socket Shelf?
NO! Do not plug in an extension cord or any other sort of extension or power adapter to or from Socket Shelf.
How much weight does Socket Shelf hold?
Socket Shelf can hold up to 10lbs when plugged into a properly installed, secure outlet. This capacity will be reduced if the outlet is loose or not securely installed.
How do I know if surge protection is working?
Socket Shelf has surge protection, indicated by the green LED light illuminated on the front of the socket.
How many outlets and USB ports are on Socket Shelf?
There are 6 total AC outlets, and 2 USB ports. (USB ports share 2.1-amp power output).
